Designing sustainable packaging: know-how from the experts

Our workshops give you the tools to achieve your sustainability goals.

Whether online or as a classroom event, our workshops offer producers, retailers and distributors a thorough grounding in the topic of sustainable packaging design. Benefit from the know-how on hand from our packaging recycling experts: you will not only learn the basic principles of the circular economy but also be shown some handy tips and methods for implementing your packaging strategy.

"The “Made for Recycling" workshop was a boost for our team into the world of the circular economy. The workshop was the cradle of our innovative product lines murFlex® and murPack® with which we are pioneers in terms of recyclability. And as a result of the "Made for Recycling" certification, we can now offer our customers the highly recyclable murFlex® and murPack® films."

Glenn Spendlow Head of R&D, Sales and Business Development at Rattpack Flexibles GmbH

All part of our feature-packed workshops:

  • Legal background and market situation
Changes in consumer expectations and new legislation for businesses: we bring you up-to-date on market trends and legal frameworks, including the German Packaging Act and the minimum standard set by the Central Agency Packaging Register.
  • Packaging recycling – behind the scenes
Disposal, sorting and recycling: We guide you through the complete after-life of your packaging and provide you with a basic understanding of the recycling of paper and plastic packaging and the respective technical requirements. We also visit one of our modern Interzero LWP sorting plants to see how lightweight packaging sorting is handled in the real world.
  • Packaging optimisation – outlook
Sustainability: Together we evaluate the recyclability of your packaging and identify potential for optimisation based on D4R criteria – always while taking your packaging’s basic functionality into account.

"We were looking for a workshop to improve our team's general standard of knowledge. The “Made for Recycling” team accommodated our needs, especially some of our more technical questions, and organised a comprehensive workshop for our team. With the new regulatory landscape and incoming changes that need to be considered in our product development, we were very satisfied with the content that Katharina and Jonathan prepared for our team."
