Cologne. Hot topic of sustainability: for the international packaging sector, the recyclability of packaging is becoming a key basic requirement to remain in a position to supply. The legal requirements are growing – as is the need for reliable international evaluation standards such as “Made for Recycling”. At the specialist trade fair interpack in Düsseldorf, environmental service provider Interseroh+ presents its range of services and invites specialist visitors from around the world to obtain personalised advice from 4-10 May 2023 in hall 9, stand A19. “The pressure on packaging manufacturers is increasing. However, guaranteeing good recyclability presents a vast challenge for many, particularly in an international context,” says Markus Müller-Drexel, CEO of Interseroh+. “With ‘Made for Recycling’, companies can stay on the safe side. We are therefore delighted that we are now able to offer our international recyclability analysis in 20 countries.” As part of the scientifically well-founded test method, the experts not only assess the materials and design of the packaging, but also its practical sorting and recycling capability which can vary greatly between countries.

Recyclability – a relevant economic and competitive factor: “Made for Recycling” as a consulting partner in Syntegon’s sustainability area

Even today, the sustainability of packaging is an important sales argument – and, based on the intention of the EU Commission, in the future, recyclability is even to determine whether packaging may be brought onto the market in the first place. At interpack 2023, Interseroh+ will present specific examples of how to optimise recyclability. In the sustainability area of mechanical engineering company Syntegon (hall 6, stand A31), packaging variants can be compared for different applications. On all trade fair dates, “Made for Recycling” experts will be able to give specific advice to interested companies. “We are convinced that more sustainability in the packaging sector can only be achieved when we work together,” says Torsten Sauer, Director of Sustainability at Syntegon. “This is why are delighted about our cooperation with Interseroh+. In this way, we, as mechanical engineers, can support our customers on their journey to a future-proof circular economy.”

Interseroh+ and “Made for Recycling” are present at interpack 2023 in Düsseldorf: Hall 9, stand A19, 4 until 10 May 2023. Further information about interpack: www.interpack.de
